The territory now belonging to Bulgaria, Eastern Rumelia was formerly in the south of the country as provinces. The province was created, as the major European powers feared a Strong Bulgaria. Reunification in 1886 was preceded by bloody battles and it was through the Treaty Topchane graduate.
The coin is partly gilded and published in an edition of only 5000 pieces.
The back of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank with the year 1879 and the edge lettering with the words "Bulgarian National Bank", the year of issue 2010 and the nominal value of 10 leva. The front part is plated and shows the stamp of the Bulgarian secret Central Committee, which was founded in 1885. And the words "125 Years of the Unification of Bulgaria" in local language.
