As the theme of the Horse from the year 2002, the Goat is part of the Australian Lunar Series I. This series was coined in the first edition from 1996 to 2007. Since the year 2008 the coinage of the Lunar Series II is produced.
The distinctive identifying feature of the Lunar series are the beautiful animal themes of the Chinese lunar calendar, which change annually. 2012 is the year of the dragon. It was the symbol of the Chinese imperial family, because the 'Dragonthrone' marks the seat of the emperor. Through his exemplary life, the whole world should be influenced by the Confucian image. The dragon is the most coveted design throughout the series.
The set is limited in edition to a maximum of 500 pieces. Because of the limitation you can profit by the increase of the price of gold or silver and also by a price increase due to the demand of older years and special designs.
